Why it works
A place with a sense of place.
Soroi Samburu Lodge stands on the bank of the Ewaso Nyiro River, in the heart of the Samburu National Reserve. There are 32 standard rooms, 12 superior rooms and one executive villa, and the rooms face the river. The 12 superior rooms interconnect in pairs to make two-bedroom units for families or groups, and the executive villa has three bedrooms, private plunge pools, air conditioning and its own dining area.
Between game drives there is a swimming pool, a spa, a sundowner deck looking over the river, and a restaurant with a dining terrace; there is also a boma for traditional dinners. The lodge has conference facilities, a laundry service, drinking water and complimentary Wi-Fi, and it caters for all dietary requirements. Game drives go out in custom-built 4x4 vehicles, and the guides also run walking safaris, bush dinners and sundowners, cultural visits to Samburu villages, and birdwatching along the Ewaso Nyiro, where over 400 species have been recorded.
We recommend accommodation only when it fits the route, the season, your pace and the value you expect.
