Soroi Cheetah Tented Camp
Soroi Cheetah Tented Camp sits on the lower slopes beneath Soroi Lions Bluff and Leopard Lair, inside the LUMO Conservancy — 48,000 acres of private land bordering Tsavo West National Park.
Why it works
A place with a sense of place.
Soroi Cheetah Tented Camp sits on the lower slopes beneath Soroi Lions Bluff and Leopard Lair, inside the LUMO Conservancy — 48,000 acres of private land bordering Tsavo West National Park. The camp is unfenced and has eight tents in all: six twin tents and two two-bedroom family tents, each with an ensuite bathroom and a private veranda looking out over the conservancy, the sunset and, on a clear day, Kilimanjaro. Tents take either two single beds or a king-size double, and an extra bed can be added on request.
Meals are home-style, cooked by the camp's own kitchen team, with dietary requirements catered for, and there is a shared mess area for eating and sitting out. The camp has Wi-Fi, drinking water, laundry, in-room spa treatments and its own activity centre. Beyond the game drives there are night drives, guided bush walks with naturalists and rangers, and a photographic hide where you can watch and photograph animals without being noticed. The conservancy holds lions, elephants, buffalo and several gazelle species, over 300 recorded bird species including the Taita Thrush and Taita Apalis, and after dark aardvarks, pangolins, wildcats and porcupines.
We recommend accommodation only when it fits the route, the season, your pace and the value you expect.
