Praro Amboseli Camp stands inside the ALOCA Conservancy, 35,000 acres of private land bordering Amboseli National Park, with Kilimanjaro filling the horizon behind the main area. It is run by the Zebra Plains Collection and has 46 rooms of 53.6 m² — 34 facing the mountain and 12 facing the savannah — each with an indoor lounge, an outdoor sitting area and a private balcony. Beds can be made up as twin or double, and there is one family villa of two rooms joined by a private lounge plus two junior family tents. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms with indoor hot and cold showers, study desks, ceiling and over-bed fans, mosquito nets, a safe and a tea and coffee station.
A natural dam in front of the camp brings animals down to drink all day — elephants, giraffes, kudu, gerenuk and baboons, and now and then lions, buffalo and cheetah. There are indoor and outdoor lounges, a bar, a television lounge, several campfire spots, two dining areas, a wine cellar, live cooking stations and a swimming pool looking over the dam. Wi-Fi is included (the connection can be slow this far out), power runs 24 hours, and vegan, vegetarian, halal and gluten-free diets are catered for. Guests on the game package get a private safari vehicle and a KPSGA Gold, Silver or Diploma guide.
