Hunters Luxury Manor

Hunter's Luxury Manor is a four-star tented lodge at Loitokitok, next to the Kimana Wildlife Sanctuary and about 25 kilometres from the gates of Amboseli National Park, where the acacia woodland opens onto the plains and Kilimanjaro stands on the horizon. The accommodation is in tented suites of three kinds: the Executive King, built around a hand-carved king canopy bed and opening onto a private balcony; the Twin, with two canopied beds and its own veranda; and the Family suite, with several canopied beds and a flexible layout, set in the gardens. All of them have en-suite bathrooms and mosquito netting over the beds.

Meals are served on an open terrace under thatch, cooked to the chef's menus and built on local flavours; dietary requirements are taken if you tell the team when you book. There is a main bar for after sunset and a thatched bar beside the pool, a swimming pool with a sun deck among the acacias, and spa and wellness treatments for the end of a day on the plains. At night a bonfire is lit under the open sky. From the balconies the mountain is in view at first light, which is the reason most guests come.
