5 EXTRA ACTIVITIES TO TAKE DURING SAFARI

So that you can elevate your safari experience, turning it into an even more sublime memory, we've selected 5 extra activities:

Hot-Air Balloon Safari

Enjoy a birds-eye view of the Maasai mara National Reserve by adding a sunrise hot air balloon ride to your safari. A truly lifetime experience, gliding over the treetops as the sun peaks over the horizon and allows you to experience the endless Maasai Mara plains from an unparalleled perspective. Every hot balloon ride is unique as it depends on the direction of the wind.

Maasai Village

Probably the most famous of tribes, the Maasai were known primarily as warriors and shepherds. Visiting a Maasai village is the best way to learn about their culture. When you arrive at the Maasai village, you can expect to be greeted in the traditional manner: plenty of singing and dancing, with participation very much encouraged! And after spending a day in their village, you will have experienced their culture first-hand and learned a lot about how life used to be several hundred of years ago and still is in some of the most remote areas.

Night Game Drive

You can take your safari experience to the next level by entering the world of Africa’s nocturnal predators on a wonderful night drive, which is possible in selected private conservancies. The excitement of exploring the savannah under the dark skies is a bliss for itself but the opportunity to observe elusive nocturnal creatures as aardvarks, cape hares, and bush babies makes it even more worthy.

Bush Walk

Walking across the plains gives a sense of immersion that is difficult to compete with, and it's being increasingly offered in some camps and lodges located in wildlife conservancies. You will embark on an incredible journey accompanied by rangers using traditional tracking methods.

Nairobi City Tour

If you have a free day in Nairobi, visiting The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the Karen Blixen Museum and the Giraffe Center is a wonderful option. From feeding Rothschild giraffes to visiting the house of Out of Africa's author, it will be a relaxed yet funny day.
